I've Finally Decided

I have thought and debated with myself long enough.  After considering my three favorites ("My Iron Rose", "Turning the Pages", and "My Feather Pen") I have finally decided on a blog name.  I got a lot of conflicting feedback from people.  I was surprised at how many liked "Turning the Pages", which I considered the most boring and least creative one.  "My Iron Rose" was pretty and poetic.  Yet it didn't have much to do with my blog.  Hardly anyone liked my initial favorite, "My Feather Pen", for which I was rather disappointed.

So, to begin the countdown; it is NOT...

"Turning the Pages"

Though many liked this one, it just didn't click with me.

          Next, it is NOT...

"My Iron Rose"

I love this name and will probably use it for one of my other writing projects sometime.  But it wasn't the one I was looking for in this case.

          Soooooooo...my blog title is...

NOT "My Feather Pen"

That's right.  It was very close, but my friend Hannah made a point to me that I liked very much about one of my other ideas that I'd never paid much attention to.  So my blog name will be...

"Tangle of Ivy"

Hannah was giving me some comments about my list of ideas and she wrote this: "Tangle of Ivy (probably my favourite of them all...like a mess of thoughts and thorns and ideas and flowers all in one beautiful...tangle.)"  That pretty much perfectly describes what this blog with hopefully be about!  The more I thought about it, the more I loved it.  It was poetic and it described the blog (And I guess it represents my thought process in some ways.  A mess of ideas and topics all tangled together so that I can hardly choose which one to think about first!  *sheepish grin*)  Thank you Hannah!  :)

Backwards Can Be Tricky

I have a few ideas for the name of my blog.  I've been doing some thinking and a bit of research.  Here are a few of the ideas I've come up with:

  • My Feather Pen
  • Turning the Pages
  • Weaving a Tale
  • Under the Willow
  • Reflections in the Campfire
  • Wolf Shadows
  • My Iron Rose
  • Night at the Moon River
  • Talking to Myself
  • Follow the Windsong
  • The Sapphire Key
  • Shadow of the Fern
  • Moonlight Arrows
  • Silver Sparrow
  • Tangle of Ivy
  • The Writer Holds the Sword
  • Food for Thought
  • The Scent of Jasmine
  • Viola Strings
  • Wandering Woods
I know, some of these seem really random.  But I kind of like it that way because a lot of my posts will seem rather random.  Like I said before, I want my title to be poetic, and I'd like to try (TRY being the key word) to include something to do with words, books, ideas, writing, or imagination.  Although something soft and poetic might clash a bit with my strong ideas/opinions in my posts.
When I'm writing a poem/short story/book it's very easy and fun for me to come up with titles.  However, I don't try to name it until I have a good idea about what the story will be about.  Right now I'm trying to do it the other way around and it's turning out to be trickier than I had originally thought.
So far my favorites are "My Iron Rose", "Turning the Pages", and "My Feather Pen".  Any thoughts?

Hello Blogging World

My name is Darlee Hart.  For the amount of writing and number of opinions I have, I guess it's strange that I haven't started a blog before now.  I love to write poems and short stories, which you would know if you've read my profile.  I'm also writing 4.5 novels.  Don't ask.  Unfortunately I can't put any of my short stories or comments on my novels on my blog.  I love to talk about them and share them with others.  However, I plan to try and publish many of them sometime in the future so that's not the wisest idea.  I will put some of my poems on here though.  Sadly poetry isn't very popular now days.  Which is REALLY sad in my opinion.  You'll be hearing that a lot.  "My opinion."  I love analyzing and finding the reasons behind things.  I'll be doing that quite a lot with various movies, books, songs, etc.

In case you didn't read my profile, here it is:  "I'm a bookworm. I'm a future author. I love Celtic music. I want to be a high school English teacher someday. I like writing poetry and short stories. I like old fashioned things. I enjoy watching NCIS. I play the viola. I'm writing 4.5 novels at one time. I"m NOT a morning person. I'm obsessed with watching the bonus features on DVDs. My favorite colors are teal and brown. In my opinion, "Twilight" should not be considered literature at all. I love explaining fictional books to people. My friends and I have fun doing the most random things. I enjoy archery, but rarely get the chance to do it. I'm a pessimist. Sarcasm is my second language. I love the Pacific Northwest. I honestly don't mind the rain. I love watching movies."

My blog name, "A World of Words", will likely change sometime in the future.  I want to come up with something more poetic.  I'm having mild writer's block about the whole thing.  I'll research it later.  I might take a leaf out of my friend Hannah's book and try looking at song lyrics.  Or I might do something completely different.

I already have a list of ideas for blog posts.  I like using lists and pictures.  If my topics seem really random at times, I apologize for your confusion, but not my randomness.  So good luck interpreting my weirdness! :-D  Seriously.  You're going to need it.  ;)
